What We Are Looking For

The Assistant Athletic Director for Development is responsible for managing all annual fund efforts including solicitations, correspondence, and benefit fulfillment for Baylor Athletics. This position will work closely with other development officers to identify prospective donors, cultivate donor relationships, and solicit donations or gifts from individuals, corporations, or foundations.

The Bear Foundation is the primary fundraising organization for Baylor Athletics and supports 500 plus student-athletes across all 19 intercollegiate sports. Our mission is to provide scholarship funds for Baylor's student-athletes and to support and promote the interest and welfare of Baylor Athletics.

A Bachelor's degree and four years relevant work experience, and supervisory experience, are required. Proven ability to cultivate, develop and steward donor relationships. The person selected for this position must be self-starter who works efficiently and has excellent customer service and communication skills. The ability to interact comfortably in business and social settings with donors, prospects, and university officials is required.

A Master's degree, prior experience with annual fund campaigns, and working knowledge of Paciolan or SalesForce is preferred. Evidence of ability to plan and execute a fundraising project from conception to completion is also highly desired.

Applicants must currently be authorized to work in the United States on a Full-Time basis.

What You Will Do
  • Provide leadership, oversight, and management to Annual Fund department staff
  • Assist with preparation of an annual work plan outlining strategic initiatives, correlating gift table, and prospect pipeline to successfully reach annual donor and dollar goals
  • Assist with establishing annual departmental goals based on donor and prospect history, department needs and revenue opportunities
  • Ensure fiscal accountability and thorough reporting
  • Assist on game days with donor relations and customer service needs
  • Prioritize and complete ongoing tasks following established departmental guidelines and policies
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of and adhere to all applicable University, conference and NCAA rules and regulations
  • Available to work games, nights, weekends, and holidays as assigned
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Perform all other duties as assigned to support Baylor's mission
  • Ability to comply with University policies
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance
