Job Summary:
We are currently seeking skilled and team-oriented applicants for the following position: Assistant Athletic Director for Revenue Development. Reporting to the Senior Associate Athletic Director for External Relations, the Assistant Athletic Director will serve as the leader of athletics development, annual giving and Eagle Athletic Fund ticket related sales and operations efforts for Eastern Washington University's Department of Athletics. The Assistant Athletic Director will collaborate with the major giving and annual fund teams in the Eastern Washington University Foundation.

This highly motivated professional will develop annual strategies to drive campaigns to grow both participation and financial support within Eagle Athletic Fund and Athletic Ticket Operations units balancing philanthropic generosity from EWU alumni, donors, and fans with the critical revenue needs associated with annual scholarship and operational funding.

The successful candidate will manage the Eagle Athletic Fund's priority point system, which rewards the most generous donors with priority access to tickets, parking, and events. He or she will and develop an annual communication and solicitation calendar in collaboration with his/her university counterparts in annual giving. The incumbent will ensure the gift acknowledgment process is timely, accurate and effective and evaluate/lead any enhancements to processes, objectives, and goals to improve reach and effectiveness.

Utilizing industry best practices, the incumbent will constantly evaluate ways to ensure that EWU Athletics is positioned to provide student-athletes with the necessary resources to compete for conference and national championships.

The salary for this position is $67,725. In addition to salary, the university offers a comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, life and disability insurance and retirement. Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelors Degree
  • Three (3) years of experience in fundraising, marketing, ticketing, public relations, or sales.
  • Demonstrated interest, ability and/or experience promoting cultural competency, universal accessibility, and/or diversity.


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Masters Degree.
  • Three (3) years of experience in athletic development at the Division I level.
  • Experience in collaborating with a team involving different phases of advancement including communications, special events and alumni relations.
  • Supervisory experience.

Responsibility / Duty: DEVELOPMENT & STEWARDSHIP

Advance Eagle Athletic Fund (EAF) participation and revenue through donor retention, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of benefactors to Eastern Washington University utilizing industry standard/leading initiatives.

Provide oversight of EAF marketing and communications efforts

Oversee game day parking/tailgating initiatives

Attend, in an occupational capacity, various EWU Athletics competitions and events, including all home football and mens basketball games, and maintain a professional presence at EWU Athletics most highly attended events.

Serve as liaison between the EAF Committee and the EWU Athletic Department.

Maintain positive relationships with current EAF donors.

Meet on a frequent basis with donors and potential donors.

Responsibility / Duty: REVENUE SUPPORT

Support the generation of additional revenue through tailgating, special events, ticket sales, corporate sponsorship, and licensing initiatives.

Oversee all customer service and relationship fulfillment for game day parking/tailgating.

Provide leadership to all fundraising special events, including the Orland Killin Auction, the Ron Raver Golf Classic, Hall of Fame Breakfast, game day hospitality areas (Eagle Club), and any other fundraising related events.

Directly work with the ticket office operations team, including ticket sales, fulfillment and customer service initiatives for all EAF ticketing related transactions.

Work with Associate Athletic Director for Business & Finance and Director of Ticketing on implementation of any and all procedures within the guidelines of all EWU and NCAA rules and regulations.

Responsibility / Duty: MANAGEMENT / OTHER DUTIES

Provide leadership to EAF personnel and collaborate with EWU Foundation staff.

Recruit and manage work study students and student volunteers. Provide oversight of student employees; provide training and coaching, ensure goals and performance expectations are met.
